ITEM: Ft. Dietrick, MD - USAMRID (Army germ warfare lab) concedes that three vials of highly infectous viral agents have disappeared, confirming that Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis (sleeping sickness for horses) was among the missing samples.
ITEM: Palm Beach County, FL - A total of 21 horses belonging to the Venezuela-based Lechuza Caracas polo team died after a sudden sickness characterized by dizziness and rapid physiological deterioration, on the grounds of the International Polo Club Palm Beach.
ITEM: California/Texas - The Centers for Disease Control - CDC - has confirmed seven recent sudden human deaths from a previously unknown strain of Swine Flu, but that none of the victims has had direct contact with pigs.

In all cases, we are assured, by perhaps overly patronizing public health officials, veteranarians, and military spokesmen that a) each is an isolated event; b) the missing samples are probably benign and probably didnt get loose to begin with; c) the horses were poisoned, not infected; and d)pork is safe to eat, there is no cause for alarm, yet these events are too anomalous and coincidental to ignore.
First, the horse symptoms are identical to those of Equine Encephalitis, except for the suddenness of the onset of symptoms and death, which in natural strains of the virus has a longer period of morbidity and a much lower mortality fraction.
Second, the Swine Flu "new virus has genes from North American swine and avian influenza, human influenza and swine influenza normally found in Asia and Europe, said Nancy Cox, chief of the CDC's Influenza Division", seeming hallmarks of intentional genetic manipulation as would be orchestrated for weaponization purposes.
Third, the Army attributes the missing samples to a batch destroyed from a broken freezer in 2004, an event previously disclosed and documented as to its contents long before the current revelation was made public this past week.
Pablum and potentially bogus reassurances from the CDC/USAMRID bureaucracy notwithstanding, the role of secrecy in 'protecting' the public from catastrophic (and, even 'existential') risks merits reevaluation here in the 21st Century. Are the public somehow protected from real, extant dangers through officially enfranchised ignorance?
Or, is it more likely that knowledge is power, and that people are better off empowered by the truth - no matter how frightening it may be - than being kept in the dark and fed bullshit by their leaders? This Mushroom Strategy, which has characterized the federal government's approach to public information with respect to high technology risks since World War II, may be seriously outdated and inappropriate in an age of instantaneous global communication.
It may be just a set of coincidental coincidences that anomalous and unusually virulent strains of both Equine Ecephalitis and Swine Flu have surfaced simultaneously, just as the missing USAMRID vials have become public knowledge. But, that is not the safest nor most 'conservative' ['responsible'] assumption that one should make from these data points.
The safest assumption would be that they are related, that weaponized disease strains have gotten loose, and been tested/demonstrated by whoever obtained them, and that a third such agent is, as yet, missing and in the hands of hostile actors. At least, I would hope that someone at DHS has stayed awake nights this past week worrying about the possibility, and doing something about it.
However, let's assume that the official assurances are accurate, the events unrelated, and no such threat exists. All may be well and good. But, if the worst were true, would the government tell you, or would you hear the same condescending placations that we're hearing right now anyway? Since all of its history since 1947 tells us that the government would not be candid, honest, and forthright with the public concerning potential anomalous threats, the credibility of its reassurances diminishes from one undisclosd crises to the next.

Google yourself into a frenzy, and you will be treated to an endless parade of government deception and complicity in suppressing the truth concerning the most horrific scientific dysfunctions in world history, past, present, and future: Atomic Test Veterans. How do we know where the bullshit ends and the truth begins with them anymore?
Last Monday, Apollo 14 Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell finally disclosed publicly in an address at the National Press Club what he has privately told intimates for years, that he knows personally that we have been lied to by our government about UFOs and an extraterrestrial presence here, within our heliocentric space for more than 60 years.

Not all scandals suggested by the fringe are real, but mired in demonstrable federal deception, confirmed on so many authentic scandals, what reasons are we left with to assume candor where such things as the missing "Vial #3" are concerned? How can we tell when the claims of non-mainstream investigators are implausible, versus those which are just another example of government lies, coverup, and...Evil?
